Lindsay Lohan Openly Confirms Relationship With Samantha Ronson To ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine
Lindsay Lohan is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine for their Fabulous issue (you may recall that Angelina Jolie graces the cover of the British version of this month’s Harper’s Bazzar magazine for their Fabulous issue) and in the mag’s coverstory, Lindsay very openly and candidly discusses the positive changes that have happened in her life and ABSOLUTELY unequivocally confirms that she is seeing Samantha Ronson, much to her happiness. Here is Lindsay on the cover the HB and portions of her candid interview:

It’s a Saturday night in early October and Lindsay Lohan is sitting at the Chateau Marmont drinking a Shirley Temple. She is such a regular at the hotel that no one gives a second look when she comes racing in with a friend. Lindsay is wearing a black dress over a pair of her now-signature leggings, Yves Saint Laurent boots, several bracelets, two diamond rings on her right hand, and an open black Michael Jackson-like glove on her left. She looks a little more glamorous than usual — “The hostess said, ‘It’s so nice to see you dressed up,’” she says — and the faintly ironic beverage reveals that she’s no longer living la vida Lohan. The message is clear: Lindsay has actually started growing up. After close to five months in rehab in 2007, Lindsay, 22, is embracing maturity and recognizing she must take responsibility for her actions. “I was going to clubs all the time, and it was not okay. I was so alone. It made me not focus on what I was doing,” she says now. Of her life pre-Cirque Lodge and Promises, she observes, “I was living here [at the Chateau] for almost two years. Who blows that much money on a hotel?” She waves her arm around and says, “I could have bought a house!” But Lindsay admits candidly, “I did it to myself, and I have to deal with the consequences. I’m thankful for what I can take out of it. Now I feel clear. That’s my past, and I’m a different person now. I have goals and I’m working to achieve them. I’m not hanging out with people who are out every night getting fucked up. “And,” she adds sheepishly with a smile, “I think that I’m happy.” Her friend Jaime Zeluck, who works in the music business and has been silently checking her PDA, chimes in, “You’re the best I’ve seen you in a while.” Truth be told, the Lindsay Lohan we know and love hasn’t quite disappeared. She arrives more than an hour late. The reason for her tardiness: an oddly amusing story involving searching for Lindsay’s Escalade and “climbing a hill in YSLs.” (Lindsay doesn’t have a driver’s license at the moment.) Still, compared with past hijinks, this is Lohan lite. “I think at this point,” she offers, “[the media] is like, ‘Let her do what she’s going to do. We’ve seen her do enough.’” Lindsay’s response may explain the nonchalant attitude the press has taken toward her latest reported romance, an apparent stabilizing force. She refuses to name DJ Samantha Ronson, known for her boyish attire, skinny jeans, and porkpie hat, as the object of her affection, though she has alluded to their relationship on her MySpace blog.
BUT … for the first time, Lindsay does go on to VERY PLAINLY make clear that she and Sam are happily together. After the jump, read another portion of her Bazaar interview and see the photos from her photospread …
“I feel like it jinxes it,” Lindsay says cryptically. “It’s hard. The second I start talking about whomever I’m seeing, a month or two later it’s failed.” The two have been inseparable for months. They have been photographed together on countless occasions: at Ronson’s sister’s fashion show in New York; cavorting in bikinis on the beach in Los Cabos, Mexico; at Lindsay’s prom-themed 22nd-birthday party this past summer. “I think it’s pretty obvious who I’m seeing,” Lindsay admits after much, much prodding. “I think it’s no shock to anyone that it’s been going on for quite some time. … She’s a wonderful person and I love her very much.” Has she previously been with a girl? She laughs and says, “I don’t know. Maybe.” Has she ever been embarrassed about being attracted to a woman? “No.” Would she classify herself as bisexual? “Maybe. Yeah.” Lesbian? “No.” She goes on, “I don’t want to classify myself. First of all, you never know what’s going to happen — tomorrow, in a month, a year from now, five years from now. I appreciate people, and it doesn’t matter who they are, and I feel blessed to be able to feel comfortable enough with myself that I can say that.” She sees herself getting married “eventually,” but whether to a man or a woman, “I don’t know.”
AWWWW! YAY! I’m so happy that Lindsay is finally comfortable talking about her relationship with Samantha. It’s clear that they are both so happy together, I’m thrilled that it’s no longer an issue for her to talk about it. The rest of the HB interview is a must read … she goes on to talk about how her mother Dina Lohan and sister Ali Lohan support her relationships (“They’re supportive of me whether I’m with a guy or a girl.”). She also talks about how her father’s very public comments about her relationship with Samantha both “embarrass” and “hurt” her … even still, she says, “He’s not a bad guy. He’s just making bad choices.” It’s a really great interview. Click HERE to read it in full.
Here are the photos that are published with L. Lo’s coverstory:

The spread looks a bit ’80’s … some of the pics have a deffo early ’80’s Brooke Shields quality to them. She looks great … mostly because she looks happy. And I think we all know who is partly responsible for her newfound happiness. Woot! This is such a great interview … long live L. Ron!!!

Good to hear! She does look good. I will always see our favorite party girl when I look at her. I just can’t help it! Here is to a long life of sobriety. Good luck!

She looks great and sounds very happy and at peace. I believe she’s gotten her act together, and I’m pretty sure that Samantha helped her with that. I’m very happy for both of them!

Ya know, I was just re-watching Freaky Friday over the weekend and marveling a bit over what a good actor Ms. Lohan is. I mean, I know it’s a pretty base line flick, but still… she is so good in most of her film work.
I’m glad to read she’s reached a maturity level to address the interest in her personal life in a way that shows she is comfortable with pretty much everything right now … to address both her gal pal and her Dad is a good step in the right direction, imho.
But let’s not forget that she’s still only 22 years old and might still yo-yo between the genders which of course is totally fine - and, as she says, there is no need to “classify” oneself. But I believe she also needs several more years of sobriety under her belt (or her YSL’s) to really be able to speak with increasingly solid conviction. I wish her luck and I love how hot she’s lookin ;-)

im so happy lindsay is in a happy place in her life & that she is so comfortable with her relationship with Sam .. her and sam are probably my favorite couple ever, i just love them together. I think that its really great that they are comfortable together. I agree with what lindsay says about classifying ones self . She is so right! it doesnt matter what gender someone is, love is love.

Wow, she looks amazing. And happy.
November 10th, 2008 at 11:05 am
She deffo looks incredible, but does that girl always photograph with her mouth open or am I just noticing this? Uh-oh, has she got Jessica Simpson-itis?
November 10th, 2008 at 11:12 am
Wow, I don’t normally buy magazines LL’s in but these photos look hot, I gotta have them! These pics remind me of when she was younger during the Mean Girls era. She looks REALLY good in this spread (although doesn’t she have more freckles on her face? The cover looks airbrushed or something). I’m also surprised how much she goes into detail about her relationships, what she classifies herself as, etc. Pretty frank Lindsay, I give her props for that!! I’m glad to see her happy finally.

I cannot begin to say how proud of her I am. I remember seeing those weird videos of her doing high kicks in the middle of a parking lot, and now seeing her rejuvenated and positive, is refreshing.
Lindsay and I are the same age, I feel like we’ve gone through many of the same things. I was fortunate enough not to have people watching my every move, but I understand where she’s coming from. Just because she’s 22 doesn’t mean that she isn’t solid in her convictions. I think people underestimate the power of positive change.
It’s great to see a celebrity talk about sexuality without binaries. The whole gender breakdown is much less important than people makes it out to be. I hope she can become an advocate for a new generation, intent on choosing their partner for who a person is, rather than what a person is packing.

WOW she looks great on the cover!
November 10th, 2008 at 11:44 am
@kiki - that’s not quite what I meant … Lohan’s clearly been through alot at a young age and certainly knows for sure how she feels about all of it. And even though she is now experiencing the power inherent to the positive changes in her life, there is only one thing, I think, that will allow her (or anyone) to be convinced, and convincing, of their chosen path … and that one thing is time.
22 years of age is a fantastic time in life, but I really feel like she needs to at least get through her 20’s before she can understand and accept that sobriety can be with her for the rest of her life.

ooh finally the long awaited confirmation!
i bet her rep. tomorrow will claim that “the 2 are just friends”!
anyway, she is great in these pics… you can see from her eyes that she is alive… this is the lindsay we like, or personally that i like!
November 10th, 2008 at 11:53 am
It’s very nice to see her so happy and living a more positive and productive life.
November 10th, 2008 at 12:02 pm
she hasn’t looked this good in ages. go linds!!!
November 10th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
She’s PROBABLY Bi but not a lesbian, that’s basically how he refers to herself.
eeh, at least she’s in a better state of mind now. I wonder what all that hoopla was with her and the ugly betty crew. I hope she at least gets a good movie role to get her career back on track
November 10th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
she’s so totally a has-been. gay people should be offended that this is how she seeks to get attention these days.
November 10th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
love you LiLo!
November 10th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
She looks fabulous, good to see all our young female celebs doing so well for themselves! :)
November 10th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
i definitely agree with her, i dont see why its necessary to confirm something if its obvious.
i like this interview though. i think i might buy it. i love how lindsays changed her life.
November 10th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
why does she keep getting these covers? she’s not even doing anything! I mean, she just got fired from Ugly Betty. Weird. She’s hot though.
November 10th, 2008 at 4:52 pm
lindsay seems to actually be a pretty good role model. she’s telling people that it’s ok to be with someone of the same sex, and there’s nothing wrong with that. i love that. she seems so incredibly happy with samantha… i can’t help but support that relationship.
it’s great that she’s being so candid about her relationship with sam, and about her sexuality in general.
November 10th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
I said it once and I’ll say it again. Samantha will end up on the losing end of this. I just don’t believe that Lindsay is for real. It screams of an act to me. Maybe I’m wrong, but it certainly seems that way to me.
November 10th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
^^ kellye, i dont agree. samantha and lindsay have been friends for years. it just wasnt publicised because it was more exciting to report on lindsay’s drugged out club-hopping nights, her different men, rehab and her choice of wardrobe. she’s not doing that anymore, so the most interesting thing to comment on is her relationship with sam.
im really happy to see her so positive. i so dont agree with her past choices, but can only imagine the pyschological impact that comes from being a very young, famous and sought-after celebrity. there’s nothing better than seeing someone get their life back together. i
ps - how cute, she loves chuck on gossip girl!
November 10th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
She looks great. Lindsay shut it down with this spread. Its just sad that she can’t reclaim her IT girl status.
November 10th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
she does look great, she looks young again, her redhair helps her, she does not look like a middle-aged-fake-tanned-vegas-tourist anymore , good for her!
November 11th, 2008 at 3:20 am
she looks ahh-mazinggggggggg!
November 12th, 2008 at 4:28 am
that’s mot acting… that’s love people… osmetimes we forget that even celebrieties have feelings! look at this pictures: her eyes are alive, you can see love, happiness, quiet, relax from those eyes.. and i bet that a part of this positive feelings are becasue of samantha…
don’t be always nasty people… she deserves a second chance…
