Here is this week’s batch of photos sent in by Pink is the new Blog readers. In honor of the historic nature of this past Election Day, this week’s batch of photos are from readers who sent in their pictures on or around Tuesday November 4 — Lauri sends in an adorable pic of her 5 month old son Manny enjoying his Barack Obama children’s book titled Barack right before bedtime on the night before Election Day — Shirley sends in an I Voted picture featuring her beautiful daughter Mila — my dear friend Michelle from Detroit sends her I Voted picture complete with Oscar the Grouch and her fiercest face — Joy and Deena send in a pic of their delicious-looking Barack Obama Victory Cake — Genae sends in a pic of some girls at her church watching the just-elected Barack Obama addressing the nation with his victory speech as President-elect — Anna sends in a pic of the joyous revelers who took to the streets of Berkeley, CA upon hearing the news of Obama’s presidential victory — Olivia sends in a pic from Grant Park in Chicago, IL where President-elect Barack Obama celebrated his presidential win:

There is no question, we witnessed history being made this week as the US elected its first African American President. It’s clear that millions of people were in high spirits on Election Day and I thank you all for taking the time to share your celebrations with us. Much love, again, goes out to all the Pink readers who submitted their I Voted pictures on Election Day. Those photos will remain in THIS online album in case any of y’all would like to see them again :)

What an exciting week this have been for you guys, I’m british and I stayed up till 5 am to watch the results, one of the best nights of my life, only equaled by one night in may 1997 when Tony Blair won the election for labour, we had waited 18 years for that win, the conservative party had been in government for what it seemed like forever. I hope that they’ll never get another chance to run our country gain, ever.

Hey gorgeous Trent,
I can’t believe Baby Grouchie made it on Pink! Now he’s going to be very hard to control at home, wanting to go to clubs and whatnot. Detroit was AMAZING on election night! Finally, some good news — now we’ve got to work to get people to pull together against bullshit like Prop Eight!
