Meet Honor Marie Alba-Warren

'OK!' magazine scores another exclusive first
July 16th, 2008

OK! magazine has just released our first look at Jessica Alba and Cash Warren’s newborn baby girl, Honor Marie, on the cover of their new issue which hits newsstands tomorrow … and here is the little miss along with a portion of the magazine’s coverstory:

“I didn’t scream,” Jessica tells OK! in an exclusive interview and photoshoot. “It was really Zen.” And Cash could only marvel at his wife’s quiet strength when she gave birth. “She didn’t make a sound,” he says. “It was amazing.” Here, the proud pair open their door exclusively to OK!, introducing the adorable Honor Marie Warren. “It hasn’t totally sunk in,” Jessica reveals to OK!. “She dreams, she smiles, and coos and does all these things, but she hasn’t seen enough of the world yet to understand any of that stuff. So I still feel like she’s connected to the other world, or something. There’s no other way to explain it. It’s a miracle.” The Love Guru star tells OK! that she had natural birth. “The labor was more like meditation,” she says. “I did yoga breathing. I was focused.” Jessica, who tells OK! she ate “a lot of soul food” in the weeks following Honor’s birth, says she’s just now starting to shed the pregnancy pounds. “I started working out last Thursday, but for 20 minutes. I do cardio on my own. I’m doing it slow,” she says. “Now I’m starting to eat more healthy. Because after working out, having fried chicken and mashed potatoes is a little counteractive.” So who does Honor look more like? “She looks like a girl version of me,” Cash says. “She has my nose, my eyebrows and my…” “Forehead and dimples,” Jessica finishes, adding, “She has my mouth when I was a baby. And my ears.” “Maybe Honor is a mixture,” Cash reconsiders. “I want her to look like me, because a daughter looking like Jessica, I’d kill myself!”

Aww … despite Cash’s somewhat creepy comments about his baby daughter (is he implying that he’d find a daughter that “looks like Jessica” too attractive? It’s not clear just what exactly he’s trying to say but it sounds a bit icky), I think she does look like a girl version of him. She certainly has a full head of hair … she’s adorable. I’m anxious to see what the rest of the pics look like.

OK! magazine has really scored the baby coup this summer … next up, they will be releasing the first photos of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves’s baby, Levi Alves — and we still don’t know who paid the reported $11 million for the first pics of the Brangelina twins. OK! is really on a roll. Well done.

  1. Clare Says:

I don’t think he’s being creepy at all. Most fathers of daughters dread from day one what they will have to do when it comes to that precious daughter dating. So it sounded like Cash was saying to have a daughter look like his wife would be pure trouble. Why did you have to go put a creepy spin on it?

  2. Jeni Says:

That’s just what I was thinking. My husband always says he doesn’t want to have a baby girl at all because he doesn’t want to have to deal with trying to beat the boys away. I took it as having a daughter as beautiful as Jessica Alba will make it extra hard for him to deal with all the guys!

  3. Selina Says:

Trent, I think what Cash is saying that he’d “kill himself” if his daughter looked like Jessica cause he’d have to deal with all these boyfriends/guys who liked her just for her looks.
The whole protective “I’ve got a shovel and a plot in th backyard” thing that some fathers do…

It wasn’t anything about him being “attracted” to his own daughter.

  4. rutsa Says:

I think he meant he doesn’t want to be beating the boys off her (which he would if she looked like Jessica)

  5. kerry Says:

i’m gonna agree with everyone else above, he meant he doesn’t want a daughter as pretty as jessica because of all of the boys that would be chasing after her. honestly, i’m a little surprised you thought that he meant something creepy with that statement, trent.

regardless, she’s a doll! :) so happy for them.

  6. Ju-Ju Bean Says:

I’m going to have to go with Trent on this one and say that Cashy McCreepster’s comment is creepy. Out of all the ways to word such a comment, he chooses that way? Ugh, I thought these celebs have PR people for stuff like this…

  7. Jane Says:

What an adorable baby. Jessica looks great. All the best to this beautiful family.

  8. jamie Says:

He definitely just meant it in a protective way, thinking to the future of when she’ll be dating. Not creepy in my opinion!

  9. moi Says:

it’s not creepy, he’s just being protective. He’ll be one of those dads who won’t let her buy skimpy clothes as she gets older and will refuse to believe that “my little girl” is 18 and wants to date guys.

  10. elaine Says:

Yeah- he definately just meant that he fears having to protect a daughter as beautiful as Jessica when she starts dating. That baby is beautiflul!

  11. elaine Says:

… what a head full of hair!

  12. Jerrica Says:

I think that he’s saying he doesn’t want to have to deal with all the pervy teenage boys once Honor is older if she looks anything like her mother. Not creepy at all.

  13. lisa Says:

come on trent…he was NOT being creepy at all. why would u have to throw that spin on it. i dont’t know trent….i have read your blog everyday for the last few years and i usually always love ur comments but lately some of the comments have been way off. I don’t think i need to say any more…ditto on Clare’s comment!

  14. CR Says:

I agree with everyone! Minus Trent and Ju-Ju stupid…of course he is just being protective! I think it is a little ignorant to think a new father is being creepy.

  15. lisa Says:

oh yeah… and their baby is beautiful!

  16. LEANNA Says:

Where’s the customary, “Sup bitches” comment???????

  17. Amy Says:

I am with most people and think he was just being protective of her virtue with future wanna be boyfriends down the road. Attractive women have to put up with a lot of shit from men, and I’m sure he doesn’t want her to have to endure that.

  18. Ju-Ju Bean Says:

Awww…why’d you have to call us stupid and ignorant? Ruined my day fo-shizz.

  19. Nicola Says:

That will definitely be one stunning lady one day with parents that look like Jess and Cash :P
I’m glad Jessica looks natural and fresh, compared to the heavily makeup’d disaster that was Jamie-Lynn.

  20. Lisa Says:

i think he’s worried about all the other guys that will be coming around…i mean there’s got to be tons of pervs all lusting after his wife…he’s def not being creepy.

  21. Rachel Says:

How could that be considered creepy? It’s a compliment to Jessica by saying that he’d worry too much if his daughter looked like her cause all the boys would be after her! Little dense Trent

  22. Elizabeth Says:

Oh please, he just worried about his daughter as a beautiful teenage heartbreaker with all the boys coming around. Normal dad stuff. Maybe he could have worded it better but that doesn’t make him a creep.

  23. me Says:

Oh come on, he’s just saying he’d be worried about having a daughter as hot as Jessica, cause all the guys will be after her….

Oh, looks like everyone else commented the same thing. Teehee.

  24. AmyM Says:

wow. apparently a lot of people didn’t agree with the whole “Cash is a creep” thing. thanks for putting up the pic though!

  25. It's Trent, Bitch! Says:

Sorry y’all … I guess this explanation makes more sense but his wording was pretty poor. I can’t help if his comments came across creepy.

  26. Aly Says:

Fair enough dude, can’t argue with that. I am however fully of the mind that his comments were protective, and I think it’s great. Too many people don’t care about how they bring up their children these days, and despite my dislike of Alba and Warren, I think they’re going to be pretty dece parents. Rock on.

  27. Michelle Says:

It is dumb of him to say that at all - they may have more children and if one of them is a girl that looks like her, then it’s going to be all - ugly older sister comments.

  28. jenn Says:

I take his wording as that he’ll have to be to protective and fend off stupid boys if she looks like her hot mama! Its not a creepy comment..

  29. heather Says:

good for her for going natural!! woot!!

  30. Kara Says:

I knew exactly what he meant when reading it. Not creepy at all - he’s just anticipating all the men he’ll have to fight off if she turns out as beautiful as Jessica. A compliment to his wife and a testament to his protective nature over his new daughter.

  31. Carolina Says:

I don’t think what Cash meant is creepy at all, but I do think that it’s a little out there that he suggested killing himself over it. I don’t know. I think Cash just needed to word it differently. It does give the impression that he means something else, but common sense allows us to understand his true meaning.

  32. betty Says:

when i first read that i didn’t think creepy at all. he was saying that because he wouldn’t like it if she looked like jessica cause all the guys would go after her. he just seemed protective thats all.

blah blah blah….. jessica alba is a cunt.

  35. Karen Says:

Thanks what Hulk Hogan said when he first saw Brooke as a baby ;)

  36. Joy Says:

Gosh no, are you kidding me Trent? Get your mind out of the fucking gutter his comments were not “icky.” He was implying if he had a daughter as beautiful as his wife, it’d be hell when she’s a teenager and boys come around because he’ll have to beat them off with a stick! How is it that everyone else saw that, and YOU are the only one to see it as a dirty comment? WTF.

  40. lala Says:

she must be devastated that she didn’t have a “brown” baby…

  41. Christine Says:

I think he’s referring to the fact that if she ends up looking like Jessica he’ll have to chase away boys all the time! A scary thought for any dad :)

  42. sarahliciousisdelicious Says:

    woah. calm people!!
    the baby is adorable!
i can see where both sides are coming from…i am sure he meant it in a loving protective father way, but the wording…not the best.
    wayyyy cuter than briann!

  43. Joanne Says:

As much as you try, you can’t spin this beautiful experience into a negative story …

  44. del Says:

Wow. The racist Mom should be so proud. She wished her baby was Brown….I bet La Raza will be calling her soon….

  45. Jenn Says:

It’s a beautiful baby and any baby born is a miracle. Congrats!!!

  46. lin Says:

honor? why do celebrities think they can get away with giving their offsprings such weird names.

  47. Katy Says:

He meant he didn’t want guys after her if she was so beautiful.
