Michael Phelps Goes For More Than The Gold
Now that Michael Phelps is the most winningest Gold Medal Olympic Athlete ever, it’s about time he turned that commodity into something more … palatable. Pink reader Emily sends in a few pics of Phelpsie gettin’ up close and personal with a mysterious lady friend … photos (that look like My Space photos, I might add) that I believe were snapped after Phelps won his 8th Gold Medal at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China when he was in a celebratin’ mood. Over the past few days, Phelps has been linked to fellow US swimmer Amanda Beard (she has denied that the two are dating) and British model Lily Donaldson but because the chick in these photos (Aussie swimmer Stephanie Rice, perhaps?) was careful to keep her face covered, it’s unclear who she is:
I think it’s great that Phelpsie is gettin’ his mac on … he’s prolly been so preoccupied over the past few years with his goal in Beijing that he most likely wasn’t indulging in as much lurvin’ as he prolly liked to. Now is the time, you go boy … turn those Olympic medals into real gold.

So, the girl in the pic with the hat could be his girlfriend…both have dark hair, or the pics BESS posted are of his EX girlfriend, and this new one with the hat is just a one nighter.

Those pictures are real and just happened!! My friend is working at the Olympics and was at that party, taking as many pictures of Phelps as he could. He took those pictures and then posted them up last night on Facebook. Trust me, they’re the real deal.

Nah, I have to respect my friends wishes.. but I’m telling you guys, there are about 35 pictures of Phelps in that facebook album and they are all of the same night, same party. You can read into his shirt or collar or jeans as much as you want, but my friend was there at that party and basically stalked Phelps to get these pictures. He couldn’t identify the girl.. but I too hope it’s Rice!

Girlfriend rumoured to be Miss California 2007 1st runner up Nicole Johnson. Pictures are circulating of them together and he does have his arms around her. He has been seen with a stunning brunette for the past year and is going to a fundraiser for autism in October with his girlfriend, they actually list her Nicole as his girlfriend attending the event with him.

Hi All,
I’m friends with him on facebook and there are NO pics of him on at the party on his profile. I just checked.
Also, my friend works at the Olympics- on athlete-media relations- and he said that was Stephanie Rice. She was ALL OVER HIM apparently and he didn’t mind but he didn’t give in.
She’s HOT, on his level (an olympic gold medalist) in her own right, wealthy, and has a really hot australian accent.
Will this last?
No. She lives in Australia. Which is on the other side of the world. And they have way too many commitments post olympics- especially MP.
Plus, MP’s coach, Bob Bowman would NEVER let a relationship get in the way of MP’s training for 2012. He’s literally banned Mike from dating because it’s a waste of emotional energy that could be used in the pool and for the next 4 years he needs to focus on London 2012.
BOTTOM LINE:
That’s MP and Stephanie Rice, flirting and celebrating after having won Gold medals and they’re both sponsored by Speedo. But they’re not in a relationship.

You should go over to the IMDB Michael Phelps page, the go to his forum. Read all the information on the Baltimore Sun Girlfriend thread. There are pictures of him with Nicole Johnson. Apparently she attended the Goggle Awards last year with him and was at the Olympic trials with him this July. He is also schedule to attend an Autism charity event with her in October and the event list even has her listed as his girlfriend. She has been in his life for awhile now, what will happen next I don’t know but he is seeing this girl.

Okay, I just found this. Did anyone know that Michael was one of the judges on the Miss USA Pageant 2005? Now I think that his meeting Miss California Runner up maybe wasnt’ so random. Either he still has a connection with the pageant people or he developed a liking for the pageant girls after that judging and asked to meet her. She is not on the list of girls competing in Miss USA but I think she also competed in a Miss Teen Pageant before the Miss California. Maybe he met her that long ago?

Kenrick and steph are good mates and have been for years.
I have a lot of friends on the aussie swim team (i used to be a swimmer) and they confirmed that rice and phelps have been getting to know each others beds pretty well all week!

If you look at the TV in the background of the pics on this site…http://tvzonebbs4.media.daum.net/griffin/do/star_photo/read?bbsId=A000010&articleId=236831&pageIndex=1&searchKey=&searchValue= ….you can see on sportscenter its the day Michigan coach Carr retired. That puts the date of these photos to around November 2007 I believe…and judging by their winter attire in the last photo in Michigan. Why else would Nicole Johnson be in Michigan visiting Phelps if they weren’t dating? But these photos were almost a year ago. A lot can happen in that time! He hardly has time for himself let alone a girlfriend…and for the next four years I can’t see that changing. And if he was dating her I’d think he’d put the Stephanie Rice rumors to rest and would not have been so flirtatious with her. I’ve heard that there WAS a girl…but now its no more. Hopefully Michael will just clear the air so all the speculation could be settled already!!!

hhahahaha pass what on to you? i did 400,800 and 1500m in the pool and 5km and 10km in the open water. also had a shoulder reconstruction at 18 so my body didnt quite agree!!! LOL! I went to the world championships in 2003. Now im at uni and studying up a storm! But yeah. I know for a fact that the rice/phelps hookup happened….and was more than a ‘random pash’. They (Nicole and Michael) were together more recently than one year ago.
It’s a Baltimore Sun article said she was with him at the Omaha trials, and that was just two months ago.
Also, Nicole is still going to the fundraiser in October.

actually, that congratulations on the autism website is dated 8/18/08. it originally was written that he was doing the show with his “gf” nicole johnson, as recent as a few days ago, but now she was moved down the list and written separately from him…..seems like he’s still dating her but doesn’t want anyone to know it.

Okay so lets seperate the evidence.
We know that him and Nicole were definitely together (according to the pictures) in November of 2007. Some have even said that they were together until the Omaha Time Trials.
Now we had no reason to believe that they had broken up, until this whole Speedo party came along. REPORTS have said that Steph Rice and Michael Phelps were caught making out.. Okay, here’s where it gets confusing.
Usually if your taken, you wouldn’t let a girl drool all over you like that. And I have reason to believe that HE IS TAKEN WITH NICOLE, because when asked in an interview, he said
“Part of my life is kept to myself. I’m able to relax and be with my friends. Those pretty much are the only people who really know the answer to that.”

That is definitely Stephanie Rice. But my goodness, she can do better. No offence, but Eamon Sullivan is much better than Phelps. She’d definitely be crazy to pick Phelp over Sullivan. I hope nothing comes of that relationship, or one night whatever. And if Rice and Sullivan couldnt maintain a long distance relationship in the one country, how can she hold one with a guy on the other side of the world?

michael did an interview with ESPN and i didn’t see the whole thing together but I saw it broken up in pieces on I think youtube, not positive. But it was a video and Michael Phelps actually did say “I am single.” It was in an interview after he won 8 gold medals and he was wearing a blue polo in front of the Hilton hotel sign.
I don’t know, that was the only time where I’ve seen him say that, I agree he usually says he wants to keep his private life private.

All i have to say is….SKANKY.

OK. Honestly. 10/42 swimmers on the aus swim team have confirmed that they shared beds for a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not doubt me.

I do not get the fascination with Phelps, it must be an American thing - he actually looks kind of repulsive to me. Australia has so many hot guys on its swim team - Eamon Sullivan and Grant Hackett and Craig Stevens just to name three, and some of the ones from the other countries (Netherlands, South Africa etc) are also very attractive.

Actress Lindsay Lohan has been texting and calling swimming champ Michael Phelps nonstop since he began competing at the Beijing Olympics, reports Britain’s Daily Mirror.
The 23-year-old swimmer has reportedly received several calls from the Mean Girls star as he sat with friends in a hotel in London on August 26. Phelps was seen showing pals some of her texts, saying, “It’s Lindsay. It’s Lindsay.”
Lohan, 22, is rumored to be dating her openly gay British DJ gal pal Samantha Ronson, 31. During his recent visit to London, Phelps was glued to his phone.
“At first [Michael] thought it was a joke when she got in touch,” says a source. “But she’s since been phoning and texting constantly. It’s become a running joke in his camp. Lindsay has been trying to meet up with him. They’re both going to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards next month so they’ll be sure to see each other properly then. Phelps is certainly flattered by all the attention but it’s not clear how seriously he’s taking it all”
Meanwhile, Lindsay recently bashed her estranged dad Michael Lohan for saying Ronson was “using my daughter.” Lohan described herself as “drug free” on her blog and wrote on August 28 that her dad “has become a bully to my family and my friends.”

Michael Phelps’ fame as an eight time Olympic gold medalist is extending far past the swimming pool.
Phelps will be appearing at the MTV Video Music Awards September 7.

When asked if he’s going to be presenting, Phelps said “I am getting told right now that I am introducing Weezy, so it’s gonna be pretty sick.”
In addition to being a presenter for the VMAs, Phelps will be hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live of September 13th.
“It’s gonna be a different scene than what I’m used to,” Phelps explained, “All my boys are giving me a hard time telling me I better not mess it up.”
Phelps has also been seen on the set of the HBO show “Entourage,” according to the Associate Press. Phelps has been a big fan of the show, and Doug Ellin, the show’s producer, wrote him into an episode.
Phelps will appear on the show later this year.

Michael Phelps definitely isn’t complaining about being considered an eligible bachelor.
“It feels pretty cool,” Phelps, 23, told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview at Walt Disney World’s America’s Homecoming Parade in Orlando on Friday. “I don’t feel any different. I’m just having fun with this.”
But when it comes to recent rumors linking him to Nicole Johnson, a former Miss California USA runner up, he’s remaining coy. “I never said I have a girlfriend, and I never said I don’t have a girlfriend,” said Phelps. “My public and private life are separate. I keep my private life to myself.”
Johnson, who spoke to PEOPLE recently, wouldn’t confirm a courtship but says, “we’re good friends.”
The 14-time Olympic gold medalist did open up about his strangest encounter with female fans. He described a girl in the crowd at the Disney parade who held up a neon green sign that said “Congratulations, Michael” on one side and “Call me” with her phone number on the other. “I started laughing,” says Phelps.
The Baltimore native will be sure to attract more female attention when he shows off his acting chops as the host of the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Sept. 13.
“It’s going to be really strange, but fun,” he said. “We’ll see if I really am a fish out of water and if I have a comedic side to me. All of my friends are giving me a hard time about it and saying I better not mess up and better not do this or do that.”
And the in-demand Phelps will add another credit to his acting resume: The star swimmer also filmed a cameo on Thursday for an upcoming episode of HBO’s Entourage, one of his favorite shows. E-mail | Share
