Paris Hilton Treats Pets As Own Children
Paris Hilton has taken to the blogosphere to refute reports that she tried to buy a puppy to use in a photoshoot from a pet store on Melrose Ave. in LA last week (only to be denied by the pet store who believed the purchase was an “impulse buy”) and writes that no such incident ever occurred. Furthermore, Paris goes on to explain how much she cares for her numerous pets … and manages to throw in a plug for her new MTV competitive reality TV show I Wanna Be Paris’s New Best Friend!. Hi guys, hope you all had a great weekend! I just shot the finale for my BFF show and I can’t wait for you all to see it … I’ll let you all know when it premieres, it’s going to be amazing and everyone did such an incredible job.
I wanted to let you know that I’ve been getting messages and reading stories about an incident that supposedly happened with me and a pet store: I was catching up on news last week only to read a story about me walking by some puppies for sale, and demanding that I be given a Yorkie puppy to be an accessory for a photo shoot. These stories have gotten out of control and I want to clear some things up-
I wasn’t looking for a new pet, I wasn’t even at a photo shoot that day, (I was down the street at Benji’s DCMA clothing store) and I actually have a Yorkie puppy. I love animals and the cruel things people say are not acceptable. Puppies are not accessories or toys and I love my own pets dearly — I treat them as if they were my children. Of course I support pet adoption from shelters, and I made sure that my BFF show involved a local one to spread the word about how these animals need loving owners. So it is sad that someone felt the need to invent a story about me throwing a fit for a dog that would “go with my outfit.”
I have no idea where people come up with these stories and they are spreading to so many news outlets that I just have to speak my mind and clear things up, especially with my fans. I love you all and appreciate your messages, as always.

Well, I’m glad she straightened all of that up. On the real, I never really believed this piece of goss when it first came out last week. While I don’t necessarily disbelieve that employees at a pet store would deny Paris Hilton the purchase of a pooch, I find it highly unlikely that Paris would let any such denial keep her from procuring the pooch in question. Basically, Paris Hilton gets what Paris Hilton wants. That said, I am heartened that Paris would so publicly proclaim her penchant for serious puppy care (since she has so many of them) and would like to take her statements at face value. As I’ve mentioned previously, I’m impressed that Paris has cleaned up her act in recent months (after starting up her latest relationship with Benji Madden of Good Charlotte) and am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Call me crazy but I do believe that people can change. Paris may not have changed her ways after serving her jail sentence last summer but, thus far, it looks like Benji’s lurve has been a good influence on her. I just hope she stays a good girl.

benji didn’t do shit, she’s with him because she wants to be with nicole. Once she dumps him she will be back to the “old” Paris.

Its a huge coincidence that she’s with her (ex?) Best friend’s brother.
Saying that, Paris is a bit of a nutter, but I can’t see her buying another pet for a photoshoot.

I love her. Everyone needs to just chill out. I am sure everyone isn’t perfect. She rocks. Sorry if you disagree but maybe you should be more critical of yourself and leave our little angel alone:)!!!

yea she has a heaps of pets, more than most ppl would think appropriate. BUT she also has enough money to make sure they are looked after..
everyone has a pre conceived notion of her.. its the media isnt it.. she will always be whoever the media portrays her to be. regardless of her reformed actions.

Trent, you are such a suck-up. You know that the Maddens read your blog so you write good things about Paris. No matter what, she’s still a skanky idiot. The only reason she changed is so people will be like “OMG PARIS IS A GOOD GIRL NOW. SHE’S CHANGED HER WAYS” like they did to Nicole. Except Nicole actually deserves it.
