David Beckham, who has taken up residence inside the Staples Center over the past few weeks it seems, was on hand to cheer on the LA Lakers again this week … but this time, he did not bring along either his children or his wife … nor did he meet up with any celebrity friends. No, this time, Becks took in the game all by himself:

People magazine has released it’s annual pick for Sexiest Man Alive and they have chosen Aussie hunk Hugh Jackman as the sexiest … and I must concur. Each year, People magazine gathers a list of hawt male celebs for their time-honored Sexiest list (which is usually a very nice list) but some years bestows the honor of Sexiest Man Alive on a clichéd pick (Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Brad Pitt again, etc.). This year, I think People magazine absolutely made the right choice in picking Hugh Jackman:

He’s a triple threat: a star who can sing, dance and wield a weapon. At 6 ft. 2 in., all scruff and biceps, Hugh Jackman looms large in the epic Australia, which he says kept him “dirty 95 percent of the time” and left people stammering, “Oh … my … God,” according to costar Nicole Kidman, who adds, “Women’s jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room.” Jackman’s wife of 12 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, calls his perfect form “the Body of Doom – but I like what’s inside”: a romantic who sings ballads at home and makes pancakes for Oscar, 8, and Ava, 3. A hard body with a soft center.

In his interview with People magazine, Hugh confessed that he used to be self-conscious about his “chicken legs” and reveals that “lately” he is most proud of his smile and his pecs. OMG. I SO concur ;) “Sexy” is the perfect way to describe Hugh Jackman. As y’all know, I happily feature Hugh as much as I can (as recently as Monday) because the man is basically sex on legs. Of all the Sexiest men who made the list this year, I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the top spot. But, there are other Sexy men on the list. David Beckham and his sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz made their way out to the Staples Center in downtown LA this weekend to take in a LA Lakers basketball game. Here are a few really cute pics of Becks and his boys sitting courtside at the game … it looks like little Cruz (who is prolly Vicki B’s fave kid, for obvs reasons) had to call out his papa for spending too much time checkin’ out the cheerleaders (which we know, Becks is wont to do at Lakers home games):

OOOH, you just know that cute little snitch is gonna tell on Becks’s ass. But seriously, how adorable are these pics of David Beckham and his sons. They each seem to have an aspect of Becks’s personality — Brooklyn has his fashion sense, Romeo has his affinity for hair coiffing and Cruz is just cute like him. I love it when the Beckham men hang out together.

Katie Holmes has, on occasion, been accused of stealing style tips from famous friend Victoria Beckham but it looks like she has moved on to stealing style points from someone else … Vicki B’s hubby David Beckham. Check out this new photo of Katie stepping out in NYC this week sporting a white knit hat that looks awfully familiar to ardent Becks fans:

With her woollen hat and jeans combination in chilly New York, now that Katie Holmes has abandoned copying one Beckham, it seems she hell bent on style-stalking another. The actress’s winter white woollen hat owes more a nod to the husband of her A-list pal Posh. After a long period of stepping out in looks more often associated with her friend Posh, although their friendship seems to have cooled of late, she now appears to be taking style tips from the star footballer. Katie wore the David Beckham style look as she arrived at the theatre on Broadway for another performance of play All My Sons. Teamed with a belted co-ordinated cardigan, faded jeans and ankle boots, Katie looked ready for cooler weather.

LOL! I can absolutely envision Katie Holmes rummaging thru the Beckhams‘ closets on one of her visits to their LA home looking for old articles of clothing she can pilfer and make her own. If she had knicked this knit hat from their home around the time of her “pregnancy” I would’ve guessed that she prolly smuggled it out of the manse inside her fake baby bump ;) Mebbe Posh hates this hat so much that she gave it to Katie so that Becks couldn’t wear it any longer? That makes sense. Truth be told, I don’t really love this hat when Becks wears it so I really don’t care for it on Katie. I would love for her to pass it off to hubby Tom Cruise just for the mere enjoyment I would get from seeing that little man wear a ridic hat like this in public.

David Beckham and his eldest son Brooklyn Beckham did a bit of father/son bonding at the Staples Center this weekend as the pair were seen maxin’ and relaxin’ at yesterday’s LA Lakers home game together. Since we now know that Becks will be relocating to Milan, Italy for the first two months of 2009 to play professional soccer with AC Milan and, presumably, his children will remain here in SoCal with their mother to attend school — it looks like Becks wants to get in as much quality time with his kids while he still can. Here are a few really cute pics of Becks and Brooklyn snuggling at the game yesterday:

David Beckham enjoyed a bonding session with his son Brooklyn at an Lakers game in Los Angeles yesterday. The football star wrapped his arm tenderly around his eldest child, who looked delighted at having his father’s attention all to himself. It appears the nine-year-old, who is a keen footballer player, has has also inherited David’s famous penchant for grooming - his hair was carefully styled into a faux-hawk. The pair cheered on as their team defeated the Houston Rockets by the final score of 111-82 at Staples Centre. David is making the most of family time ahead of his move to Milan in January. He is set to join AC Milan on loan from his club LA Galaxy in order to maintain his fitness and his spot in the England squad. But while David decamps to Italy, wife Victoria and their sons will stay in America after the couple decided against uprooting the entire family.

Aww … seriously, aren’t these two the cutest? I’m so glad that Becks took Brooklyn to last night’s game because when last we saw Becks at the Staples Center to cheer on the Lakers, he was in much less cute/more undead company. Glad to see that he’s making the effort to hang with his kids while he still can.

David Beckham and Marc Anthony left the wives at home last night and made their way out to the Staples Center together to cheer on the LA Lakers basketball team. While the photos aren’t particularly interesting in and of themselves, I am quite taken with the stark side-by-side comparison of the two men:

Seriously, if I were Marc Anthony I would never, ever want to be photographed next to David Beckham … ever. I’m just saying. BTW, the Lakers beat the Clippers 106-88.
