When last we saw Jude Law, his sexy ass was on holiday with his ex-wife Sadie Frost and his 3 children in Brazil (lookin’ totally hawt as he read a book poolside at his hotel) … but the vacay is over and it’s now time to get back to work. Production on the big screen adaptation of the Guy Ritchie-directed Sherlock Holmes has moved to Brooklyn, NY this week as Jude (and the Jude’stache) were snapped on set in his Dr. Watson attire … behold:

He is SO the perfect Watson. And, I must say, the Jude’stache is lookin’ mighty nice these days. So glad that Jude shaved off the rest of the scruff that was accumulating on his face over the holidays … clean cut is best! I’m happy to know that Jude and the rest of the Sherlock crew will be a bit closer, at least for a little while, now that the movie production has moved to New York. I’m sure we’ll be seeing much more of Jude, the Jude’stache and prolly Robert Downey, Jr. (who is the star, after all) in the days and weeks to come … wee!!

Jude Law, who has been on holiday with his ex-wife Sadie Frost and his three children Rafferty, Iris and Rudy for the past week or so, was snapped doing a bit of poolside reading at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this week lookin’ about as fine as one can look while reading a book sans shirt … check it out:

While I’m happy to see that the luscious Jude’stache is still in full effect, I’m afraid the rest of his facial scruff is taking away from the ’stache itself. I mean, I realize that he is on holiday and all but … attention must be paid to the Jude’stache — it must be maintained. But I digress … I cannot figure out what book Jude is reading in these photos but, it must be said, he looks pretty sexy reading whatever it is that he’s reading. You gotta love a man that reads, no?

Yesterday we saw photos of Jude Law, ex-wife Sadie Frost, their children and the Jude’stache enjoying a lovely family vacay together in Brazil over the weekend where everyone was lookin’ happy and contented to be spending time with one another in family bliss. Today we get to see more photos of Jude, the Jude’stache and the kids (Iris and Rudy) taking a boat ride in Angra dos Reis and then enjoying a bit of snorkeling along the way. Jude Law, who has recently been very bizzy shooting scenes for the new Guy Ritchie-directed big screen adaptation of Sherlock Holmes in London in recent months, was spotted over the weekend with his children Rafferty, Rudy and Iris (not pictured) along with ex-wife Sadie Frost on holiday in Brazil. Here are a few pics of the fam chillin’ at the beach as they enjoyed their vacay with one another … Jude’stache included:

There have been reports in the last few weeks that Jude and Sadie might be working towards a reconciliation since divorcing in 2003. As you may recall, Sadie left Jude after it was discovered that he was cheating on her with Sienna Miller (HMMM, where have I heard that before?). Apparently this South American family vacay is only the latest in a string of amicable activities between the ex-lovers:

Jude Law and Sadie Frost have sparked rumours of a reconciliation after going house-hunting together. The former couple - who divorced in 2003 after six years of marriage - are said to be getting their relationship back on track and have decided to purchase a property to give the four children they raise together a family home in the countryside. A source said: “Jude and Sadie have been getting on fantastically in the past six months. When her business FrostFrench went bust, Jude offered his support in any way. “He decided to help her buy some where in Hampshire, in the countryside, a real family place. They plan to invest together and give their children a truly loving home.” Jude, 35, and Sadie, 43, have also booked a vacation to South America with their kids so they can all spend Christmas together. The source added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “They have always tried to stay on good terms for the sake of their kids and Christmas is important to both of them. So this year they’re splashing out on a luxury break to Brazil to spend the festive break as a family. “Pals are desperately hoping a romantic reunion is on the cards.” The pair were photographed laughing and looking cosy at an event in London’s Royal Opera House earlier this week, leading to suggestions they have already rekindled their romance.

If you also consider that Jude is celebrating his birthday today with his children and Sadie and, well, it does seem like they are gettin’ awfully close again. I wasn’t too keen on Jude when he was cheatin’ with Sienna so if it turns out that he and Sadie can repair their marriage then I’m all for it — as long as Sadie backs off on trying to get him to shave off his Jude’stache, she’s alright in my book. Mebbe 2009 is the year the couple will officially get back on track.

Here are a few new photos of Robert Downey, Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams and director Guy Ritchie from the London set of their new movie Sherlock Holmes which has been in production for the past few weeks. I believe this is the first time we’ve seen Rachel in full costume … but it is not the first time we’ve seen Jude lookin’ so goooood. Yeah, that Jude’stache really does things to me ;)

Seriously, I cannot get over how much I like seeing Jude rockin’ the ’stache. It’s a really good look for him … I fear I won’t be able to focus on anything else when this movie finally hits theaters next year. Rachel looks pretty good in her outfit … methinks she’ll be playing one of those “tough as nails” chicks that don’t take no gumption from any man, whether he be supersleuth or not. I suppose one can forgive Guy Ritchie for being preoccupied with his personal life these days … no matter how much moolah he’s gonna get from Madonna out of their divorce (and you know it’s gonna be a lot no matter what they say — or don’t say), I’m sure he’ll be pleased with the result.

Production continues on the London, England set of Guy Ritchie’s new Sherlock Holmes movie with the addition of a new castmember. In recent weeks, we’ve seen photos of Robert Downey, Jr. (who stars as Sherlock Holmes), Jude Law (who stars as Watson) and the Jude’stache (who stars as itself) and today we get to see a couple photos of Rachel McAdams on set in hair and make-up (who stars in the film as Irene Adler) … behold:

Yeah, these photos ain’t the most exciting pics we’ve ever seen but it’s great to see Rachel added to the cast. I just love her and I can’t wait to see her in this film. Hopefully we’ll get to see her in full costume on set … so in the meantime, we’ll have to make do with these backstage photos. So … do you suppose all members of the Sherlock Holmes cast received the same outerwear to wear or is it possible that Rachel is wearing Jude’s fleece jacket? HMMMMM?
