Matthew McConaughey is back, y’all! You may be wondering, Back from where, Trent? Well … lemme speculate here for a min and then get to the new pics. It seems like it’s been an ice age since we last saw Matthew and/or his new family (babymama Camila Alves and newborn son Levi Alves) here on the blog. In fact, the last time we saw any of them was back on October 15 when the family were snapped taking care of preparations on the fam’s motor-home RV. I guessed back then that the family might be about to embark on a family vacay in the RV … and then they fell off the face of the planet. I suppose it’s feasible that the family did, indeed, leave SoCal for a family trip to the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone Park or whatever and have just recently returned home. Here are new pics of Matthew back on the LA scene, doing a bit of skateboarding with his cute little pooch:

Truth be told … I didn’t even miss him much. After those last pics, I kinda forgot he existed … BUT, he’s back again and I suppose it’s nice to see new pics of him. ‘Course, I think I’d be much happier to see pics of the guy doing a bit of shirtless surfing (or at least in rubber!) but I guess the beaches aren’t quite warm enough anymore for any of that tomfoolery. Ah well … Matthew’s back and that’s the point.

Earlier this week we saw a photo of Matthew McConaughey doing, what appeared to be, prep work on a motor home (as well as a not so bad impersonation of Conan the Barbarian) that will, most likely, be used by his new family on an upcoming family vacation. Today we have more photos of Matthew and babymama Camila Alves continuing those preparations on said motor home … behold:

Matthew McConaughey strikes me as one of those “real as they come” celebs that is pretty focused on enjoying the “regular” things about life, rather than just the finer things. I can absolutely see how Matthew might want to pack up the motor home, pack up his new family and hit the open road to embark on a family vacation … to the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore or even to see the World’s Largest Ball of Twine. Matthew strikes me as just the kind of guy who would want to give these sorts of family bonding memories to his newborn son Levi Alves. I gotta say, tho, that I hope that the poor family isn’t followed across the country by the paparazzi should they actually embark on a trip like this. Hopefully they’ll be able to enjoy their bonding time together without much interference. Happy Trails, McConaugheys! And remember to secure those picnic baskets … you wouldn’t want any unwanted bears treading upon your campgrounds ;)

Matthew McConaughey was snapped doing a bit of gross, dirty work to prepare his … ahem … motor home for a possible family trip sometime in the future. Here is a pic of Matthew hooking up the sewer hose or something to said motor home:

Now, I know that Matthew is fond of not wearing deodorant but I sincerely hope he is a fan of hand washing. Ew. And, uh, does anyone know what the hell he’s wearing on his head in this pic? It really does look like the headband worn by Conan the Barbarian … or Xena the Warrior Princess. Yeah, it’s not a good look for him and does much to greatly diminish his sexy factor. That said, I really do like the idea of Mathew packing up his babymama Camila Alves and his newborn son Levi Alves for a cross-country family trip in a motor home. Mebe the plan is to visit Rooster McConaughey and his son Miller Lyte? It so sounds like a McConaughey family tradition, doesn’t it?

Celeb couples Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony and Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves made their way out to Milan, Italy for Fashion Week there and made an appearance en masse at the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2009 show. If I remember correctly, Matthew is the spokesperson for D&G’s The One fragrance and J. Lo is just besties with the designers. Here are a few pics of everyone lookin’ fab at the D&G fashion show this week:

Gah, even Marc Anthony looks a’ight in these pictures. J. Lo looks divine with her überbeyotch hairdo (not unlike the look that Top Design judge and Elle Decor editor Margaret Russell rocks on a weekly basis) and Matthew, well, he is in a shirt and suit … we should be happy he dressed for the occasion. These are great pics … and everyone looks so happy and friendly. Yeah, that’s all I got.

Despite an “ankle injury” that kept her from fulfilling the arduous duty of judging the Project Runway Season 5 Finale Fashion Show in NYC last Friday (which would have required that she, gasp, sit in a front row seat and judge designs), Jennifer Lopez was able to miraculously complete the Nautica Malibu Triathlon in Malibu, CA yesterday morning/afternoon with a time of 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds … imagine that. Here are a few pics from J. Lo’s triathlon run yesterday:

Jennifer Lopez had the support of several important men in her life as she successfully competed in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday, finishing the race in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds. The singer-actress was cheered on from the sidelines by husband Marc Anthony, who escorted her to a VIP area with his arm securely around her after she crossed the finish line, exhausted, but with her fists pumped in victory. In the VIP area, Lopez met up with Matthew McConaughey, who also competed in the triathlon at Zuma Beach. The actor greeted his former Wedding Planner costar with a big hug. And Lopez was accompanied along the way by her trainer Gunnar Peterson, who was not racing himself, but was there to help out. Lopez, 39, has been training for the event – her first ever triathlon – with Peterson and Self magazine editor-in-chief Lucy Danziger. In August, she appeared on Good Morning America, boasting a positive attitude about her workout regimen. “I feel great,” she said on the show. “I have more energy – [and] I’m proud of myself.” She also revealed that she would be raising money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles … But for McConaughey, the event was all business. The actor (and fitness buff) had his game face on before the race as he stretched. Still, the actor broke his serious demeanor for a moment, though, when he spotted girlfriend Camila Alves – who spent some of the race time in the VIP area, holding son Levi in a baby bjorn. McConaughey left the line to give her a kiss and rub Levi before the swim began.

Whew! I’m so glad that Jenny’s “injury” was able to heal fast enough to allow her successful completion of this challenging triathlon. Earlier this week we saw the first pics of Matthew McConaughey embarking on his new mission to become a triathlete as he began a triathlon training regimen in Malibu, CA. Here are a few new pics of Matthew continuing his training here in SoCal getting in some biking and running exercise:

Unfortch for us, none of the water training was on yesterday’s agenda. I dunno, I mean … I don’t mind AT ALL the supertight spandex shorts but there is something about a man wrapped in rubber from head to toe that is strangely … appealing. Mebbe it’s some sort of superhero attachment or something … whatever it is, I can’t wait for more pics of Matty boy donning his neoprene ensemble to come out. Oh yes, I think I can get quite used to seeing pics of Matthew’s triathlon training. Am I wrong? ;)
