Lauren LC Conrad debuted her new Spring/Summer 2009 fashion collection at Smashbox Studios at LA Fashion Week last night (you may recall we got a preview of her collection yesterday afternoon) and decided to head out to STK restaurant to celebrate afterward. Coincidentally, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt — her avowed nemeses (or is it nemesises?) — were also dining at STK at the same time. After emerging from the restaurant, Speidi spoke to Extra TV and publicly gave their congratulations to LC on her new collection with Heidi adding, “I love Lauren”:

Frenemies Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag kiss and make up — and “Extra” made it happen! The “Hills” starlets ran into each other at STK, where “Extra” was with Conrad at the exclusive after-party for her fashion show — when nemesis Heidi and beau Spencer Pratt suddenly showed up! Speidi tells “Extra” they were unaware of Conrad’s party and were just stopping in for a drink on their break from shooting “The Hills” down the street. When Montag saw Conrad arrive, “Extra” witnessed the former BFFs exchanging a polite “Hi” before Lauren went into her separate party room. At the fashion bash, L.C. revealed to “Extra” that Heidi was “cool” — and “it was no problem she was there” just as long as Spencer didn’t cause any trouble. Heidi then pulled an “Extra” producer aside to say she wanted to chat with her old roommate — and “Extra” brought them together! The girls chatted for a moment — then both suddenly burst into tears and HUGGED! After the tearful reunion, Heidi personally thanked “Extra” for arranging the impromptu meeting, and said of Lauren’s clothing, “It’s a great line and I love Lauren, so congratulations.” Even Spencer expressed his support of Conrad, saying, “Congratulations, L.C.”

Say what? I find it so interesting that we, the TV viewing audience, are shown one thing on The Hills (ie. Spencer Pratt’s venomous ire for his enemy LC) and then in real life we see something very different. Click HERE to watch video of Speidi offering their congrats to LC. HMMM. Does this mean that the bitter feud is finally over? I doubt it. Does this mean that both Team Heidi and Team LC know the value of publicity? You betcha [insert eye wink HERE].

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have teamed up with Taco Bell for the Reality Check Challenge 2008 in an effort to raise funds to alleviate world hunger … apparently by signing autographs and posing for semi-goofy photos. Hey, whatever works, right? Here are a few pics and some info on this year’s Reality Check Challenge:

Taco Bell joined Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt for the second consecutive year in an effort to raise awareness of global hunger. “Reality Check Challenge” 2008, which was held at a Los Angeles-area Taco Bell restaurant, in conjunction with World Hunger Relief Movement, is part of a larger global hunger-relief campaign by Taco Bell’s parent company, Yum! Brands Inc., to raise funds for The World Food Programme. For the event, Heidi and Spencer served up Taco Bell fare to customers visiting the Taco Bell restaurant, took pictures with and signed autographs for fans in attendance, and invited customers to join in the effort to alleviate world hunger by donating at all participating domestic Taco Bell locations. Donations for the World Hunger Giving Cards begin at $1 and all proceeds raised in the U.S. go directly to The Friends of World Food Programme to help combat global hunger. At the conclusion of the event, a $10,000 donation was made by Taco Bell to the World Food Programme in Heidi and Spencer’s name. “The reality is that hunger is a staggering problem and is responsible for more deaths each year than war, malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS combined, “ said Greg Creed, president, Taco Bell Corp. “Even though this is an epidemic of global proportions, people can do something about it. I encourage everyone to get involved in the ‘Reality Check Challenge’ and donate to this year’s World Hunger Relief Movement. A dollar donation will help feed four people stricken by hunger. You can make that difference.” Prior to “Reality Check Challenge” 2008 and as part of World Hunger Relief Movement, Heidi and Spencer joined Taco Bell last week at Los Angeles’s Union Rescue Mission to serve food to the hungry and homeless in the “Skid Row” area of downtown. During this visit, the couple spent three hours helping feed hundreds of men, women and children stricken by the effects of hunger. At the conclusion of the visit, a $15,000 donation was made by Taco Bell to the mission in Heidi and Spencer’s name. “Heidi and I know the importance of bringing awareness to this global problem, and are extremely grateful to partner with Taco Bell and the World Food Programme for the second straight year,” said Spencer Pratt. “Last year, Taco Bell and Yum restaurants raised more than $16 million globally, and our goal is to help surpass that number for 2008.”

While some might argue that the mere sight of Speidi at their friendly neighborhood Taco Bell might actually inspire an immediate loss of appetite, you kinda gotta admit that it was really dope of them to come out and use their notoriety for a good cause. Whether you love to hate them or hate to love them, they deffo deserve some measure of credit for their philanthropy when it comes to issues of World Hunger. I salute them for their efforts and encourage all y’all to support the cause. That being said, they really are a bit RIDICULOUS with these photo ops … I’m not sure it’s entirely necessary to kick up one’s heels while munching on a taco but … so be it. I think it’s actually a good idea that Speidi remain in Taco Bell’s good graces … after all, if their reality TV thing ever falls thru they will prolly need a Plan B ;)

While her Hills nemesis, Lauren LC Conrad, was bizzy partying the night away (and generally mistreating BFF Lauren Lo Bosworth on the red carpet) on Emmy night this past Sunday, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were in Las Vegas, NV hitting up the scene with Heidi, in particular, taking up DJing duties for a short while at one of the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino hotspots. Here are a few pics of Speidi in Vegas and a few of Heidi doing whatever it was that she was doing behind the DJ decks on Sunday night:

It looks to me that Speidi weren’t going to let the fact that they weren’t invited to the Emmy Awards or any of its afterparties get in the way of their good time … they just got the hell out of town and made their way to Sin City where they are always welcomed with open arms. Yeah, I’m not entirely sure that Heidi really did much DJing but she sure did a lot of posing with those earphones. They look fun to party with, don’t they?

Woo … my day/afternoon/evening/night at the 2008 MTV VMAs was a whole lotta fun but it was also a whole lotta hot! I basically spent the entire day outside, mostly in the blistering sun but once it got darker, much cooler. The day was really fun, a little manic and a total blast as always. Here are some of the pics that I snapped on the red carpet yesterday:

There were many highlights for me but I was very thrilled to be able to meet both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner who will both be starring in the upcoming movie version of Twilight. As you may already know, Robert plays Edward and Taylor plays Jacob. They were both very cool and I can’t wait to see them in character on the big screen when Twilight opens in November. As always, it was great getting to see the celebs on the carpet but I had the best time in the VIP green room area for the rest of the night … that’s where the food, booze and the celebs were just hanging out. I got to meet quite a few Pink readers, here are some pics of the folks that I got to meet:

The last pic of me and Will, my Detroit homie who was on the last season of The Real World: Hollywood but the other folks are various Pink readers I had the extreme pleasure to meet. In the first pic, the gent with the smooth outfit is Jeremiah James who is an up-and-coming singer who’s music has been featured on The Hills among other TV shows. I’ve checked out some of his music and he is really damn good. I hope to get to hear more of him soon. I’m posed with Kelly (who I love) in the pic with Jeremiah.

I also got to meet Greg, Hayley, Jennifer, Hannah, Carolina, Mindy, Tim and Heather (who I also love and am bummed we didn’t get a pic) … I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few names but it was my pleasure meeting you all.

My only party of the night was the VMAs official afterparty … to be honest, I was pretty wiped out from the late night before seeing Nine Inch Nails and the long day in the sun. I did have a great time tho … much, much love goes out to Emily, Sarah and Anastasia at MTV for taking amazing care of me. I can’t believe another MTV VMAs is already dunzo … it truly is the end of summer :(
