‘The Hills’: Dumbest.Storyline.Ever.

Last night’s ep of The Hills felt to me like the most contrived episode of the series that has ever aired. Now, there have been a lot of Hills eps where the “reality” didn’t seem so real and I may have questioned the honesty of some storylines but last night’s ep really takes the cake. To call it laughable would be an understatement:

Essentially, the crux of last night’s ep dealt with a rumor that Audrina Patridge heard from a “friend” of hers named Dino (who has never appeared on the show, mind you) that detailed a supposed “hook-up” between Lauren LC Conrad and Justin Bobby. When this ridic rumor actually spilled out into the real life tabloids and media (Audrina even went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to cry on national TV before she even spoke face-to-face with LC about the matter), I honestly didn’t pay it any mind — there was no way I was gonna buy any rumor that LC would deign to even touch Justin Bobby if she didn’t have to. Apparently, the producers of the show figured The Hills audience would be stupid enough to believe the storyline and featured it last night. After the jump, if you still care, find out what went down between who on last night’s ep titled You Did This(more…)

‘The Hills’: Heidi Finally Sees The Light?

Last night’s ep of The Hills really tried to make Audrina Patridge’s storyline the central plot but, sorry to say, her life isn’t nearly interesting enough to anchor a single episode (let alone an entire TV series, which is why Whitney Port will be starring in The City and Audrina is thanking her lucky stars for another season of The Hills) for me. The drama surrounding Lauren LC Conrad allowing the “homeless” Holly Montag to move in with her was far more interesting, IMHO:

But, you can’t blame Audrina for trying to play a more central role on the show … time is running out for the reign of The Hills and she is desperately trying to turn her Hills stint into something larger. Yeah, good luck with that. In any event, there was palatable drama to enjoy in last night’s ep. After taking a week off last week because of Election Day, today we check in with the drama on last night’s episode of The Hills. For the most part, the drama was pretty contained but there were a bunch of fun moments. I found the ep especially interesting because since it was Whitney Port centered (Lauren LC Conrad really only played a supporting role) we have a feel for what her spin-off show The City may be like:

Whitney and LC got called back to NYC by their heinous boss Kelly Cutrone at People’s Revolution to do some runway show work for her … romance and drama ensued. Back home in LA, Heidi Montag was left to pick up the pieces after she got fired from SBE last week. It was a fun time on The Hills last night. After the jump, let’s discuss the drama from last night’s ep titled Back To New York(more…)

‘The Hills’: Cam Wimps Out, Corey Gets The Boot, Trent Gets Bored

Last night’s ep of The Hills was a bit of a snoozefest … but only on the parts that focused on Audrina Patridge and her lame boy problems. There was a bit of hilarity smack dab in the middle of the ep that was really fun to watch and ended up saving the whole Hills-watching experience for me last night:

It’s pretty safe to say that last night’s ep was very Audrina-centric with Lauren LC Conrad playing the supporting role for most of the ep. Even when the focus wasn’t on Audrina, LC took a backseat to the other drama going on in the ep. Is this a sign of things to come? Is this proof that LC is “over” reality TV? After the jump, find out what did and didn’t happen on last night’s ep of The Hills titled I Want You To Be With Me(more…)

OK … OK … I asked for a little more entertainment from The Hills and I am happy to say that that’s exactly what we got. While the drama was far from epic, there was enough hilarious (albeit entirely juvenile) bullshizz in last night’s ep to keep me laughing and satisfactorily entertained for the entire 30 minutes:

Team LC (minus Whitney Port who was off in NYC filming her own series The City and Lauren Lo Bosworth who was, I dunno, just left out I guess) made their way down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to join Brody Jenner and his bros in celebrating his birthday (which occurred in late August). Back home in LA, Stephanie Pratt (who was NOT invited to Cabo) was forced to endure a double date with Speidi. The result … hilarious hijinks on both fronts. After the jump, find out what kind of drama went down on last night’s ep of The Hills titled You’ll Never Have This(more…)

‘The Hills’: Choose Or Loser

ATTENTION: 'THE HILLS' SPOILER ALERT WARNING
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Last night’s episode of The Hills was all about choice — having nothing at all to do with politics … on the Team LC side, Audrina was faced with the decision of having to choose between her ex-boyfriend Cory or her other ex-boyfriend Justin Bobby. On the Team Heidi side, Heidi had to choose between her sister Holly or her boyfriend Spencer:

After the jump, find out what sort of drama these choices caused for both camps, see who chose who AND see a NSFW screencap of a topless Audrina in the pool in the episode titled Who To Choose?(more…)
