How To Make The Next Quarter Of The Year Your Best EVER

@saraciarra

Let’s take a minute to talk about the ‘Back To School’ season. Because it’s coming, and even if you started college/University ten years ago (or more) you still can’t shake that mental priming that makes you want to go out and buy highlighters, a pencil case, and start fresh with your organization.

Now is the time to get started with a fresh notebook and try new things, because (thanks to school) your mind is primed to get back into that productive, post-summer vibe. Of course, we’re a little early here as Back To School doesn’t ‘officially’ start until late August, but there’s no time like the present to prep your mind and get ahead of the game. The next quarter of the year is the final quarter, and we all know how stressful that can be, especially with Christmas ending the year on a high (or low depending on how you spend it). This year, make the last quarter the best ever and don’t end the year with another unfulfilled New Year’s Resolution.

STEP ONE

PIGGYBACK ON BACK TO SCHOOL

If you’re going back to school or University – yay. You’re in the best mindset to start this quarter off with a bang. If not, there’s no reason why you can’t piggyback on those back to school feelings and start getting ahead and getting organized now. You can sign up to a course, there are loads of free ones on Future Learn, or pay a yearly membership to something like MasterClass to learn everything from cooking to writing from the greats themselves (who doesn’t want Margaret Atwood as their teacher?).

Use this period to focus on something that makes you productive because your mind will definitely be in the right space.

STEP TWO

GET ORGANIZED AHEAD OF TIME

To truly make the most of the next quarter, you need to get your life organized. Make a note of important dates that are coming up, set yourself some killer deadlines, give yourself a stern talking to, and decide how you’re going to work on your personal goals.

To start with, you need a 2019/2020 Diary, like the Goals 2019/2020 Diary, to get ahead of yourself, not only for this quarter but for next year! You’ll probably also need a notebook like the Make It Happen notebook to create a scratch pad for all the things you need to do. For example, if you have a house project you want to work on over the next year, and idea of the gifts you want to give people for Christmas, a project like a wedding coming up, a garden party you want to throw, and more, to keep yourself organized you should use a notebook and organize all your ideas as best you can. You can even color-code them. This is really the only way to stay on top of everything you want to do.

STEP THREE

SET YOURSELF SOME PERSONAL GOALS

In this quarter, take care of yourself better. Work out more, prep your meals, and you’ll feel huge changes in yourself. This is the time to do all those things you promised yourself you’d do but then left at the wayside. You can enroll in the gym, start prepping your meals, paint your house, and tidy up your bedroom. With the right mindset and a plan of attack, anything is possible.

In fact, why not start this weekend? You can use the Fit Is The Sh*t planner to help you set workout goals, or the Goals 2019/2020 Diary to give yourself deadlines. It’s important that you don’t let these next few months pass you by. Fill up your weekends as best you can, plan your meals on a Sunday and do a food shop, enroll in the gym, it’s easy to let the summer months slip by but with the right mindset you can take control again.
