4 Ways to Turn Your Backyard into A Spa Getaway

Do you wish you could spend every day at the spa? This experience is always amazing, and it’s sad when the excitement has to end. Still, while you might not be able to set up a pool or sauna at your home, you can have some of that spa experience daily if you make some upgrades to your property.

When you think of creating your own spa environment, you might first imagine how to upgrade your bathroom. However, many of the best spas are at least partially outdoors, where it’s possible to have natural light and greenery.

So, why not take inspiration from these getaways to upgrade your own backyard into a spa-like space?

Install An Outdoor Fireplace

What spa would be complete without a fireplace to warm up or enjoy the flames? Luckily, it’s much easier than you might think to set up an outdoor fireplace. Many options are easy to install, and you can either put them away or cover them up when the weather gets bad.

You can warm up on chillier spring and autumn nights with an outdoor fireplace. Make sure you wrap up in a comfy robe as you sip your drink of choice, whether that be tea, water, or wine.

Get A Hot Tub

When you go to a spa, you might pay for a massage or enjoy sitting in the sauna, but one of the best things is getting into warm pools or hot tubs. While you might not be able to set up multiple water features, you can get a hot tub for your property.

While a hot tub might be a bit more expensive than some other yard upgrades, you can find more economical choices. There are even inflatable hot tubs, so you don’t have to worry about transporting such a large item.

Decorate Your Deck Or Porch With Greenery

An outdoor spa requires plants and greenery to look and feel luxurious. If you have a bit of a green thumb, planting trailing vines, flowers, and shrubs around your deck or porch will give you the natural feel you want. Make sure you leave room for a yoga mat to create the perfect relaxation surrounding.

However, you can also have a similar look without dealing with live plants. If the plants you care for always seem to die, get some beautiful fake plants instead. No matter how you incorporate greenery, making the space look lush and beautiful is all that matters. You’ll love how much more relaxed you feel!

Set Up An Outdoor Bar

A complete outdoor bar is in order if you have the budget to go all out with your spa getaway upgrades. You can install a bar or island with an outdoor oven and fridge. However, if you don’t have as much money to spend, you can also set up a bar or food area without breaking the bank.

Get a mini fridge and a nice table. You can also get a bar cart and fill it with your favorite appetizers, snacks, or libations. Spa days are great for relaxing drinks like flavored water and tea. Then, in the evening, you can break out the wine and cocktails.

By making one or all of these improvements, your yard will feel like your favorite spa. The only issue? You won’t want to leave.
